As a global supplier of premium paints and coatings, we focus on four key market segments: decorative paints, protective coatings, marine coatings, and powder coatings. Within each segment, we achieve organic growth by making long-term strategic investments in local markets.

Jotun's global operations are regionally structured across Europe and Central Asia, Middle East, India and Africa, Southeast Asia and the Pacific region, Northeast Asia, and the Americas. That our regional and local operations enjoy a significant degree of autonomy is key to Jotun’s global success.

In terms of reducing the environmental footprint of our operations, we work actively to meet defined goals across the entire product lifecycle. The Jotun GreenSteps programme is a structured and holistic approach to improve our environmental footprint. From carefully selecting raw materials, refining manufacturing processes to minimise energy consumption and waste, and ensuring proper use and recycling of our products.
International standards in Jotun Group
Management systems in the Jotun Group are subject to a continuous improvement and a number of our companies are certificated in the following standards; Quality Management (ISO 9001), Environmental Management (ISO 14001), Occupational Health and Safety (ISO 45001).
Our Jotun ISO Group Certification covers the three standards mentioned above and includes appendices showing which of our Jotun companies who are included.

Jotun employees represent a wide range of nationalities, ethnicities, age ranges, and professional skills, and include men and women from 90 nations across more than 50 countries. Some 90 % of our employees work outside Norway.
We continuously build staff competencies through classroom and workplace training coordinated by the Jotun Academy.

Our four segments
Operating globally under a single brand name, Jotun has a consistent track record of organic growth.
With 40 factories located on all continents and a presence in 120 countries, we have a vast geographical footprint. That means slower growth or significant investment requirements in one market can be offset against higher-performing segments and markets. As a result, we're able to balance risk.
Marine coatings
Jotun is the market leader in anti-fouling, primers and topcoats for the maritime industry, delivering high quality coatings for newbuildings, drydocking, sea-stock, cargo holds and tank projects, as well as for megayachts and leisure yachts.
Protective coatings
We deliver high-quality protective coatings for on- and offshore oil and gas, energy and infrastructure projects including passive fire protection, high temperature coatings and state-of-the-art anti-corrosion protection.
Powder coatings
Jotun Powder Coatings is a leading supplier to companies active in industries related to building components, general industries, pipelines and appliances and furniture.
