OptiPro Universal Primer
OptiPro Universal Primer is a epoxy primer for EMI.

Barrier is an 80% zinc epoxy primer for highly corrosive environments. Barrier contains very high levels of zinc dust and provides very good corrosion protection when used as part of a complete coating system where extended durability is required. It is ideal as a primer in atmospheric environments, and can be used on carbon steel, for repair of inorganic zinc silicate coatings and on damaged galvanised steel substrates. Barrier complies with ASTM D520 type II zinc dust. It is recommended for offshore environments, refineries, power plants, bridges, buildings and on structural steel and piping exposed in corrosivity categories up to CX (ISO 12944-2).
Pre-qualification testing in accordance with NORSOK M-501, Rev. 5, System 1, suitable for exterior exposure in offshore environment, below 120 °C.
When used as part of an approved scheme, this material has the following certification:
- Low Flame Spread in accordance with EU Directive for Marine Equipment. Approved in accordance with parts 5 and 2 of Annex 1 of IMO 2010 FTP Code, or Parts 5 and 2 of Annex 1 of IMO FTPC when in compliance with
IMO 2010 FTP Code Ch. 8.
