Marathon IQ2 is a smooth-surface coating with ice-slip properties. Marathon IQ2 is tailor-made for ice navigation, and the smooth surface with ice-slip properties improves hydrodynamic efficiency during ice-breaking operations or when navigating in polar waters. Marathon IQ2 is third-party tested by Aker Arctic Technology and has an extremely low kinetic coefficient of friction. When applied correctly Marathon IQ2 has a very low out-of-dock roughness. It is highly abrasion and impact resistant and has high flexural strength and substrate adhesion – making it a tough coating that maintains a smooth surface for longer. Marathon IQ2 is solvent-free and does not contain any mutagenic free phenols.
