Jotun protects property. Our paints, coatings and solutions protect ships, buildings and infrastructure from degradation and corrosion. A key component in many of these assets is steel, the most common engineering material in the world.
However, steel production is highly energy intensive. In a recently published report, preventing steel corrosion – and thereby reducing the need for steel production – is highlighted as one of the keys to a more sustainable future.

In Jotun, we believe that prolonging product life is one of our most important contributions to the world we live in. Remarkably enough, a 0.3 mm coating is enough to protect assets from corrosion.
