Update on impact to Jotun from the war in the Middle East

Jotun’s MEIA region (Middle East, India, and Africa) is a vital part of our global footprint, accounting for 31 per cent of Jotun's total revenue in 2025. The region consists of 17 companies and 16 factories across 15 countries. In total, Jotun is present in 41 countries throughout the MEIA region.

In total, Jotun employs 1,933 people in the affected countries (United Arab Emirates (Dubai and Abu Dhabi), Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Oman). The highest priority for Jotun remains the safety and well-being of our employees and their families. At this time, we can confirm that all employees are unharmed and there has been no reported damage to Jotun’s facilities.

When the war between the US/ Israel and Iran started 28 February, operations were suspended at several sites until the saftey situation for our employees had been properly assessed. As of March 4, all Jotun factories and warehouses were operational across the affected markets. However, we have adjusted activity levels to align with the prevailing security situation. These adjustments are based on continuous assessments of risk within an environment characterized by uncertainty and rapid change.

• Active monitoring: Jotun’s crisis management team is monitoring the situation around the clock.
• Experienced leadership: Jotun has seasoned leaders at both the regional and local levels who possess significant experience in navigating previous crises and adapting operations to volatile circumstances.
• Supply chain resilience: While the conflict has significantly impacted regional logistics routes and transportation, Jotun is currently well positioned.
