Jotun sponsors the Korea-Norway Greenship Seminar 2017

The Royal Norwegian Embassy, Innovation Norway, together with the European Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ECCK), organized the Korea-Norway Greenship Seminar 2017 on November 16th, in Busan, Korea with the kind support from Chokwang Jotun Ltd., Korean Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and Norwegian Ministry of Trade, Industry.

This is a part of continued dedication between Korea and Norway to contribute to a shared understanding of the current barriers to the deployment of greenship technologies and solutions, to exchange ideas on what can be achieved to reduce these barriers, and to allow the industry to share the worthwhile ideas to forward together.

This year’s topic was ‘Development and Future Outlook for Innovative and Sustainable Green Shipping’, presented by eight invited speakers from Korea and Norway.

From Jotun, Morten Sten Johansen (Jotun Regional Marine Director, North East Asia) presented ‘Measuring the effect of paint and how it contributes to a more sustainable shipping’. Jotun is very honored to participate in this seminar as a pioneer for greenship technologies. Also, a Korea-Norway joint venture company, Chokwang Jotun have collaborated with the Royal Norwegian Embassy, Innovation Norway and the ECCK actively in various events to enhance the relationship between these two countries.
