Barrier Plus

Barrier Plus is a high-solids epoxy primer with very high zinc dust content for severe corrosive environments. Barrier Plus’s high level of zinc dust provides excellent corrosion protection when used as part of a complete coating system where extended durability is required. It is ideal as a primer in atmospheric environments, and can be used on carbon steel, for repair of inorganic zinc silicate coatings and on damaged galvanised steel substrates. Barrier Plus complies with ASTM D520 type II zinc dust and can be applied down to 0 °C surface temperature. It is recommended for offshore environments, refineries, power plants, bridges, buildings and on structural steel and piping exposed in corrosivity categories up to CX (ISO 12944-2). Barrier Plus shows superior performance in adhesion/cohesion and electrical conductivity when compared to traditional zinc rich epoxy coatings.
