Jotun logo with pay-off

Primarily, the pay-off shall be used together with our logo, but it may be used separately at the bottom of the page together with the web address.
The pay-off shall not be used in any other way.

Our logo comprises the emblem of a penguin with the word JOTUN in blue capitals on a yellow background under a red panel on top of the horizontal yellow area.

Our logo represents the primary graphic element of our identity and design programme. Consistent application and precise reproduction methods will reinforce public recognition of Jotun.

When the logo is used properly with other components like a Jotun blue background which comprises the presentation, a unique, memorable, visual style will be established.

The horizontal Jotun logo is to be used for all general purposes. It is not to be used in any form other than that shown in these guidelines. The two elements, the symbol and the name, must not be split, rearranged, changed or moved from the frame area surrounding the logo.

The penguin is an important part of our identity and must always be included in our communications. The symbol is an integral part of the logo. Under no circumstances may it be removed from the logo or used in any manner other than shown in these guidelines. Under very special circumstances the symbol may be used on its own – e.g. as a jacket badge.

Any proposed separate use of the symbol must be submitted in advance to Sverre Knudsen or Kari-Ellen Liverod.

Printed material:
Only these standard sizes are allowed: 25, 35, 50, 75 and 110mm. 

Printed stickers in standard sizes are also available.


Shop posters and display material:
Only these standard sizes are allowed: 250, 400, 520 and 780mm.

Billboards and signboards:
Sizes are to be agreed upon individually and in accordance with regional shop manuals.

The height of the red top panel of the logo is used as a principle for the minimum size of the blue area around the logo. Larger blue area around the logo is also allowed.

As a general rule the logo must be printed in the correct corporate colours. Whenever this is not possible for financial or technical reasons, the logo may be reproduced in corporate blue or in black.
But let there be no doubt, the coloured version is preferred.
