We work closely with our suppliers to promote sustainability, reduce environmental impact, and uphold ethical practices across the supply chain. To drive continuous improvement, we have set three ambitious goals for purchasing at Jotun, ensuring high standards for ourselves and our partners.

We are committed to conducting business with integrity, transparency, and respect for human rights. As such, all new and existing suppliers are expected to adhere to our Supplier Code of Conduct. This includes compliance with labor laws, responsible sourcing practices, and a commitment to sustainability. Adherence to the Code of Conduct is essential for maintaining a trusted and mutually beneficial partnership.
Selecting reliable and responsible suppliers is vital to our business and long-term sustainability goals. We use trusted assessment methods like EcoVadis, a globally recognized sustainability rating, or independent third-party audits. We regularly assess suppliers’ performance in key areas like ethics, labor, and the environment to ensure alignment with Jotun values and requirements.
Jotun has chosen EcoVadis as the framework for evaluating and engaging with our suppliers on sustainability performance. This platform assesses a broad range of ESG criteria. We invite our suppliers to register on EcoVadis and complete the assessment. Achieving a minimum score is required to qualify and maintain status as a Jotun supplier.
In certain cases, we rely on third-parties to conduct on-site audits to ensure compliance with our standards and to verify supplier practices directly at their facilities.
In 2025, Jotun has achieved the gold standard in the EcoVadis sustainability rating. This rating reflects that Jotun is in the top 5% of all assessed companies across four key parameters: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.
